Letter of Recommendation:
We built our
house 5 years ago and had been looking forward to
landscaping our back yard since we unpacked the first
boxes. When we decided to take the plunge this year, we
headed for the Home and Garden Show and spoke with several
landscapers to try to find a good fit for our vision.
When we
first met Doug, we were immediately impressed with his
enthusiasm – he obviously enjoys his work, and was very
eager to listen to our ideas and what we had in mind for our
yard. We setup a time for him to come to our home, where he
spent quite some time with us talking about our ideas and
goals for the yard, then walking the property to get a feel
for what could be done. We wanted a very tropical feel,
with a water feature, scented flowering plants, and year
round color. We also wanted some kind of “noise barrier” to
dampen several barking dogs in the neighborhood behind
ours. But we had significant concerns as we have a very
small back yard, and were skeptical about how much could
really be accomplished.
When Doug came back a couple of
weeks later with his proposal, he gave us the “wow” factor
we wanted. His plan incorporated everything we were looking
for, with many significant improvements. Our small, rather
ugly back yard has now been transformed into the envy of the
neighborhood. We’ve had friends and family over every
weekend since it’s completion to “show it off” and enjoy our
new outdoor living spaces.
Doug was a
pleasure to work with – he is the consummate professional,
and was extremely meticulous in every detail of the
construction. He or his partner were on site every day, and
their crews were on time, neat, and professional. Their
work was top notch. We recommend him highly, and would be
glad to show off our new yard as a reference for him.
